a2z Scrapbooking ~ September Challenge

I made this card for the a2z Scrapbooking September Challenge ~ Autumn and Christmas.
The sky was created with blue and purple inks and the snow is glitter paper. I started to brush off the excess white embossing powder but decided to leave is snowing after all :-)  I emboss stamped these cute little bears and colored them with Copics. I thought I would leave a couple of ornaments on the ground as though they were decorating the tree together.

Stuck on U Sketches ~ Die Cut Challenge

Stuck on U Sketches has a die cut challenge using geometric shapes going on from 9/19 - 10/2. My Cricut has been sadly neglected so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to bring it back to life!
I just received the Close to My Heart Artbooking cartridge from Candice Fields and absolutely love it! The dimensions are all preset to fit perfectly on scrapbook pages!
For this challenge, I chose a halloween themed card using the Circle geometric shape. I was going to use the bat stamp in the center for a bit of  spookyness but realized the center of the web wasn't exactly round.

I cut 2 webs and 2 orange circles, adhered them together then created the "card" using brads. I used some cute little chipboard images, spider stickers and cross stitch floss for the web string.
Head on over to Stuck on U Sketches and link you project up! Check out the other challenges while you are there!

Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking - Nerdy Card

The Papercrafts & Scrapbooking challenge for September is "Talk Nerdy to Me"
I love this stamp set but I couldn't find it on the MFT website so I assume it's discontinued.

I don't normally like stamps with no heads but I thought this turned out really cute!
Supplies used:
My Favorite Things - That Geek Guy Stamp Set
Spellbinders Border Die
DCWV - The Boyhood Stack
Self Adhesive Gems

MFT Sketch 191

I love MFT stamps but have never participated in a challenge so here we go!

Stamp & Win with This Week's Card Sketch 191
Most of these stamps were from the My Favorite Things - Mermaid set. I just love how these smaller images go so well together when creating a scene. The fish is from the Inkadinkado - Cute Fish set. The MFT sentiment is straight but I twisted it to look like a wave. I didn't like how the white paper looked ( I should have cut it the full length of the banner) so I finished it off with a couple of brads. The circle was cut with a Spellbinders die. Glossy accents were added to the bubbles and eye. The pink & yellow papers are from the DCWV Spring & Summer matstack & I used a glitter paper for the base.

If you give this sketch a try, be sure to link it up here by noon on 9/2/14. There is a new sketch challenge every Wednesday.

If you need a little more are the links to previous sketches:
