ScrappingStamping Challenge

If you have never been to you simply must take a moment to do so! Cindy Echtinaw is the sweetest person, treats customers like family and most orders ship the same day! She has tutorials as well as a tour of their warehouse.
This layout was made for the January challenge:

We're getting there!!

The walls are comes the trim!! Check out some of the organization ideas I have found using thrift store/old stuff!

A Work in Progress...let's hope it's finished quick!!!

It all started with "let's paint the furniture white" and has turned into an all out makeover! On the one hand...YAY because it will be so awesome when completed. On the other hand.....UGGGG because my OCD is getting to me. I don't know where ANYTHING is! The goal? To have everything in its place instead of in every nook and cranny! Organization is the key to all aspects of life. A brilliant man (aka my husband....shown on his knees below lol) once told me......"Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail". This is my motto. Well, okay, I DO think about that a lot but procrastination keeps getting in the way. So, while I have way too much time on my hands now, I will divide and conquer...I mean sketch (the room layout) and organize so I can be oh-so-productive once all is said and done! If you have any ideas that have worked for you...please share!!! I am sure we would all be interested in working smarter, not harder :-) Thanks for letting me ramble while my creative life i…

It's that time of year again, my son's 22nd birthday is January 30th. He is a 21 year old sergeant in the US Army National Guard ~ So proud of him! Last year, since he was turning 21, I had a cake made with a photograph from the county fair of him on a horse wearing a sombrero! Makes me smile every time I see it!  Any ideas for this year???

Cricut - Plantin Schoolbook

This is a little "purse" I made for a baby shower using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The paper was self adhesive so it made assembly really easy! I simply took the backing off the pieces that needed to be taped together. I put a little book that I found at Barnes & Noble titled "365 Things to do with Mom" in there with a little mirror and brush found in the party favor section at Wal Mart.

If you want your life to be a magnificent story, then begin by realizing that you are the author and everyday you have the opportunity to write a new page in your life...

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop & Challenge (January 2012)

FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2012 Theme for Project: A fresh clean start! Make something for yourself or that you would give someone to welcome the fresh clean start of a New Year! It can be a card, scrapbook page, gift or home decor item. Pretty much anything goes! (***************************************************************** There were so many great ideas on the blog hop but the one thing that kept drawing my attention were the journals. I have not kept one since I was a little girl but I thought this would be a great and humorous adventure for my children and grandchildren to read some day. Hopefully, there will be a few inspiring words of wisdom as well.

Sketch 4 by

I have never created a project based on a sketch before so I thought I would give it a go! It's a new year and 1 of my resolutions is to try new techniques. I left the I out of Crusin because I wanted it to be "slang" or whatever you call it lol ~ Hope you have a great day

Spellbinders Grand Calibur

I have wanted a Cuttlebug for months then I heard about the Grand Calibur which is compatible with Cuttlebug embossing folders. ( Go big or go home right?) I used a 40% off coupon for Hobby Lobby and $90 in gift cards (thanks to my co workers and family) and purchased the Grand Calibur and 1 Cuttlebug embossing folder for $7.00!! After several attempts to run the Cuttlebug folder through (uh wasn't happening), I decided to read the instuctions lol. I now know that to use Cuttlebug folders you will also need a Grand Raspberry Plate! Who knew that fruit would be my obstacle at this point! Anyhoo, I digress. I must go now in search of the plate and a sale on Spellbinder dies! Any suggestions or advice on using this machine would be appreciated :-)
I just found this compatibility chart:
